The Brief

The challenge was to create a modernized yet timeless visual identity for a company with a 70-year legacy. They needed a refreshed brand identity that would feel contemporary while also respecting their history and well-established reputation. The specific requirements were:

Logo Redesign:
Refine the typeface and composition of the existing logo, ensuring it aligned with the brand’s legacy while giving it a bold, modern look. The logo symbol had been operational for decades, so only minimal changes were needed to update its aesthetic.

Company Profile:
A modern look for the company profile that would accommodate substantial textual content and tables without feeling overwhelming. The profile needed to stay simple, clean, and easy on the eyes despite being content-heavy.

Marketing Collaterals:
Design business cards and letterheads that carried the new visual identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints of the brand.

The Approach

1. Logo Refinement

We began by reviewing the existing logo symbol, which had served the brand well for decades. While we retained the symbol’s integrity to honor its longstanding history, we focused on refining the typeface and composition of the logo. Our goal was to achieve a modern look without losing the brand’s heritage.

  • Typeface Selection: We carefully selected a sleek, professional typeface that was bold yet minimal—a perfect match for the brand’s industrial domain.
  • Logo Composition: Adjusted the spacing and alignment to give it a more contemporary and balanced feel, without straying too far from the original design.
2. Modernizing the Company Profile

Shib Dass Metals’ company profile was content-heavy, with many technical details, tables, and product information. Our approach was to redesign this profile with a modern layout and clean typography.

  • We utilized ample white space to allow the content to breathe.
  • Introduced modern fonts for readability and strong visual hierarchy to break down complex information into easily digestible sections.
  • The tables and text-heavy sections were simplified with clearer borders, more streamlined text, and icons to visually represent the information, making the document user-friendly and visually appealing.
3. Marketing Collaterals

To maintain brand consistency across physical materials, we designed business cards and letterheads that reflected the new visual identity.
